For all Cast Members I have a question
I have question for all of cast members with various statuses. Anybody know good weekly lease furished apartments that I can stay at that have lynx bus stop right by apartments?
i am try to figure if its cheaper to stay at disney's hotel with my work's discount or at weekly lease apts.
stay onsite mean i have to pay bit more but buses are free. meals would be bit expensive since i would have to eat at hotels and workplaces most of time.
stay offsite mean i would have to pay for weekly lease and lynx transportation and buy foods and cook on my own.
both of them would equally balance each other out. One thing is that i have to make sure that i have enough money that i can work that pay itself out since i am flying in. if i am stay onsite mean i get ride on magical bus for free and if ia m stay off site that mean i have to pay for taxi each way to and back.
its hard to say if i would get lot of hours to pay off the apt, food, transportations and actually make profit out of my working hours?
any tips although?:faint:
Re: For all Cast Members I have a question
I guess, not many cast members are acknowledges of good places to stay at.
i discovered as far i did the researching. PLainly simple statement is that staying with somebody that i know from work are best way to go since so many places are bit off fetched in their prices. I cant believe how reviews are based on weekly rate lease furished apts can sound so unappealing since there were lack of interest and bad locations and too many police calls.
I checked with disney's rate. Ick its over head prices for staying onsite since paying is not balance itself out. its best and cheaper to do sharing room for seasonal work.
Too bad is that not many people are willing to offer their places for their friends to stay for some seasonal work. I am try to contact some people i know that are still at wdw since i left.
maybe i am mistaken. I even left message that i am willing to pay something and help out with cleaning etc. I just need to get away from this place and do job to feel like i ahve purpose than sitting at home and try to apply to jobs around my hometown and other towns near by. i think have my own condo is very nice way of able to get back and forth without go thru painstaking searching for place to stay and find transportation to get to work on time.
I hope people will find htis helpful since not all places are cheap enough as hostel are like. too bad orlando should open up nice hostel for travelers that just need small room with bed and bathroom plus mini refridetor and microwave to eat and sleep before head out to work.

Re: For all Cast Members I have a question
We too are from IL and my DS has done the college program. He was made seasonal but never did go back the year after for his minimal time.
The travel costs coupled with the expense of stay down there made it cost prohibitive.
In this day and age the common bond of Disney isn't enough likely for most Cast Members to open there house and home to strangers even for a few dollars.
My sons roomie from the program and a few others have made the seasonal pilgrimage down several times now. There are 4 of them, they share a room at All Star at the discounted rate. They don't make any money but they don't loose anything either.
