where to eat with jet-lagged kids (and adults)
Can anyone share some ideas of where to eat on our first night in orlando?
We (5 adults & 4 kids)are staying offsite in Kissimmee and need some ideas of where to go. With the jet-lag we would rather go for fast food or a buffet of some sort, not sat at tables with sleepy kids waiting to be served.
We dont want to go into any of the parks on the first night, but Downtown Disney would be good. Is there anything suitable in that area?
p.s. It would need to be easy to find, its that whole Jet-lag/different country thing!

You didn't say where exactly you were staying, but once you get to your hotel, you'll probably see so many fast food restaurants along the way that you'll have no problems finding a quick bite of food. The hotel will probably have a list of places you can call to order something to be delivered. The big name pizza places have no problem delivering to hotels. If it's dark, and you are not familiar with your surroundings, I'd opt for ordering in. Good luck.

we have a villa in Cumbrian Lakes ????? so we are without the luxury of a hotel reception to look for advice.

For something light but delicious, I would go to The Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Many choices and the food is wonderful!!!

Enjoy!

DTD has some late places as do most of the hotels. How bad is the jet lag? We kept our two year old on our home time and it had many benefits -- his schedule wasn't too messed up on return and while others were eating lunch or dinner, we were in short lines. Of course, we had a lot of looks from people wondering what business we had keeping our young kid up so late.

I would recommend Wolfgang Puck's express in DTD marketplace, no doubt about it!
It's a good thing!
