Alfredo's Closing in July 07...forever

Well, I put the news on my site, so hit the link below if you want to read more. The thrust is that Alfredo's will close in July of this year. I am never one to get nostalgic about things, but I do love this place and am sad to see it go. Alfredo's is a legendary name

I can't imagine that happening...really...just as EPCOT turns 25...hmmm...makes me wonder...it's such an honor for them to be at EPCOT...especially when there are only two other locations (Rome and NYC)...hmm

I noticed that as well. Only Laughing Place is running the story as well. But read what Intercot says...

Walt Disney World has announced

That would seem like more than a rumor from their end. They claim an official annoucment. I have searched for a press release and have come up short. Let's see if it develops today.

I would buy it. It seems, though I have not personally seen this, that some CM's were given a notcie of this. It's been reported by multiple outlets now.

I hope that is not true. I have never been there, but I was going to go when I was on my trip last month and I will really be kicking myself if I cannot go at all.

We really like Alfredo's - mainly for the fettucini. We also like the entertainment.

I'm just worried that the replacement will end up being some kind of chain type restaurant since Disney is outsourcing so much of their operations lately.

Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.

Alfredos was an outsourced location, so that in itself is not a problem. I wonder if Lou can tell me this, is the Italian Tourism Buruea still involved? Wouldn't they have a say with who goes here? I mean, how happy would they be with an Olive Garbage in there?
