    Tonga Toast Question?????

Ok I know that at the polynesian they have Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe and at the quick service spot. Is there any difference between the two types. I know at the quick service spot it is $5 and at Kona Cafe it is about $10. Is the price difference due to quality or size of the portion, or is it just because one is at a nice looking restaraunt and the other is at a quick service spot?? I will be at Disney World for a week starting Feb. 14th and am going to make a point to get my first taste of Tonga Toast. I just want to make sure I get the best version of it.

I'd like to know the same thing. We're going to the Polynesian in July and want to try the Tonga Toast as well.

I ate the Tonga toast @ Rain Forest Restaurant @ AK for breakfast. Was very good and I'm a very picky eater. There is a pic of it at allears.net if you want to see what it looks like.

Looks like you may just "HAVE" to eat at both and give us a review. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Yeah from the looks of the toast that probably won't be such a bad thing.

There is nothing different.., one just doesnt include bacon or sausage or whatever you want as a side, but you can add it on. I've eaten them both from Kona and captain cook's. I like going to captain cooks better cuz you don't need a reservation, but they are the same basically. They are the same size. As far as I can tell. The one at Kona might be slightly bigger, but the one at Captain cooks is more than enough for me!

Yep and not to mention its hard to eat a whole order of Tonga Toast in one sitting. It is just sooo rich. For those who have never had it before you do not need the syrup. It is rich enough without it.

I fixed the link in the Food Pic thread. You can now see the Tonga Toast again! Thanks for calling it the best picture of Tonga Toast. I'm sure my daughter helps!
