    Trails End Buffett

Hello all. I thought I would post a quick message and let everyone know that the Trails End restaurant now accepts PS. This place is an inside secret for alot of frequent visitors. If you like the food at the Hoop Dee Doo this is the place for you. They share the kitchen with the HDD. Dinner is only 16.99 for adults for an all you can eat. It's just a boat ride away from the MK and its not as hard to get in there for a meal. They also serve breakfast and lunch.

    I just have two questions.

    1. How far away is Trails End from the Wilderness Lodge?
    2. How does the buffet count in toward the meal plan does it count as one sit down meal?

My wife and I are going to be staying at the Wilderness Lodge with another couple from Buffalo and this sounds like a worth while place to eat. Thanks for the input.

    A fellow upstate New Yorker.

The Trails End is in the Fort Wilderness campground next to the Hoop Dee Doo. You can take one of the water launches over to the campground from Ft. Wilderness. As far as counting as a sit down meal I would call 407-wdw-dine and ask. Not all World restaurant participate in the dining program. Unless you booked the premium package then you can just about eat anywhere.

    Re: Trails End Buffett

Hey guys, just ate at Trail's End yesterday and there's a few things worth noting. Yes, this is far and away the best deal on property. We go several times whenever we're in the area. However, in the last 2-3 months (according to our server) they are no longer serving the buffet at lunchtime. Everything is a-la-carte. I spoke with a manager to ask why and she said they were experiencing a lot of wasted food at lunchtime.

This comes as a HUGE bummer to me as my family would always go towards the end of breakfast service, pay breakfast price, and then stay as they switched out service and have lunch too. Don't get me wrong, you'll definitely still get your fill, but if you were looking forward to waffles and fried chicken on the buffet, it's no longer a possibility. You now have the option to order this combo on the a-la-carte menu at lunch, but of course, it doesn't come with all the wonderful side options....unless you're willing to pay for them.
I'm about as All-American as they come!

Must get a new trip on the books! I'm dyin' here!

I've heard a lot of guests sob over the a-la-carte being gone from lunch.

I'm also surprised that Disney ran their breakfast right into lunch even though they were different prices. Disney is usually brighter than that.
I'm surprised they didn't have a break in between to empty out the breakfast group before the lunch group entered.

With the Dining Plan, more and more good venues are really changing up, sad.
    Some people are like Slinkies.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.

Dinner is still a buffet, but I don't think it is $16 for adults. The do participate in the pass holder discount. For the money though, I would rather do Garden Grove at the Swan and Dolphin. It is a more intimate setting, with a larger variety of desserts.

We were there on the 19th, three adults 74.97, two children 27.98.. Overall with tip and discount it was$117.00. I still have the receipt on my desk. I don't have my computer on, so I cannot tell you what we paid the last time at Garden grove.

The prime rib was okay, but dessert was limited to cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats, ice cream and apple cobbler. The selections were limited in comparison to crystal palace and garden grove. Cannot remember chef mickeys, as I have not been there in in 10 years.
