    Question Review These For Me

Ok so I'm trying to convince my mom to switch things up a bit for this January trip, since we're all going together as a family, and try something new. Traveling with a boy who will be just shy of 3 years old means that dining really has to capture his attention or he'll get bored and misbehave. We've already decided on checking out T-Rex (he loves dinosaurs) and Whispering Canyon (another place we've not been) but there are two I'm unsure about...

Aaron loves Lilo and Stitch so one of my suggestions to her was to do Ohana for breakfast (the character breakfast with them). None of us have been so I think it'd be fun. But... I also know nothing about it.

Lastly, I keep hearing everyone rave about Hoop-Dee-Do for dinner. So, I suggested we do that one of the nights. I'm not sure about she and my step-dad but I know that we have never done it so I'd love to check it out.

So... tell me... in an effort to switch things up a bit, are Ohana and HDD good choices?

'Ohana is good for breakfast with kids. The food is family-style - brought to your table instead of making you get up for a buffet. The characters are in Polynesian wear. It didn't feel as rushed as some of the character meals. They have games for the kids periodically during the meal, similar to the pony race in Whispering Canyon.

I did Ohana last year with a 5 and 6 year old. They loved it. The service was good, character time was good, and the parade was a great treat for them.

I've never done O'hana for breakfast but we did do it for dinner and that was fun. The kids become part of the show. Not to mention their chicken wings are awesome. We've done the Hoop di doo several times and it is alot of fun and will be enjoyed by all ages. The food is good and the way they serve it can't be beat!! Go for it
It's kind of fun to do the impossible!

I love OHana but we have never been for breakfast. We love Whispering Canyon for breakfast. We really like Hoop Dee Doo. My kids really got involved in it all. It was fun.

We took my grandkids in February (4, 3, and 15 months) and another good idea is Hollywood and Vine at the Studios. They have a wonderful character breakfast and lunch with Little Einsteins and JoJo and Goliath. They have great interaction with the kids getting them to dance in the middle of the restaraunt and to follow the leader. The food is pretty good too.

Thanks prshell, we've done the Play & Dine before and our son did like it. We're just trying to change things up a bit for this trip.
