    Question The Plaza Restaurant

So... we're doing something different this trip. The night we check-in (Aaron's birthday) we're going to have dinner at The Plaza in the Magic Kingdom. We have ADRs for 6:20pm.

In all my times to the Magic Kingdom and all my dining experiences there... I've never done The Plaza. I thought it'd be perfect because it sounds kind of like counter service that's served to you (sandwhiches, burgers, etc.). Plus they participate in the cake delivery service and my mother wanted to have a cake sent for Aaron's birthday.

So... wondering... have you eaten there? What did you think? What's it like? I've only ever been inside once to grab some ice cream during the day.

I'll have to keep an eye on this post. I too have been wanting to eat at the Plaza Restaurant because they have food at a fairly reasonable cost while still getting waited on like you would at a table service.

Judging by word of mouth, I've only heard good things about it.

I ate there last October and enjoyed it. The food was a fair value (not as expensive as some table service restaurants). The restaurant itself is pretty, especially if you can get a window seat with a view of the Castle. The inside is very, very small though, so there isn't much private conversation.

Ithink you'll enjoy it. It gets overlooked a lot.

So....I'm guessing my 2 cents didn't amount to much and you guys are going back to WDW? Lucky little Aaron will get to celebrate his bday there? That's the best thing ever Jenn!

By far my favorite Magic Kingdom table service. I love the atmosphere and the food is super good. (Get the milkshake!)

I love the Plaza. My sister and I ate there in 2006 when we were on the dining plan and I know I posted a photo of the yummiest ice cream sundae ever in the post a dining pic a day thread. It is very small, but it faces the Castle and is nice to be able to look out the window and see it. It is great to eat here right before Wishes.

Caroline and Jake and I ate there again this past December. We had the most delightful waitress. I ordered a burger, like I did the time before. It is so good, and it was massive. I think I only ate a quarter of it. Caroline had the veggie sandwich which she says is wonderful. I have to take her word on it because I am allergic to vegetables unless they are deep fried or covered in chocolate. I don't remember what Jake had except he horked it down in about 3 bites and I pushed the rest of my burger at him.

It is very Main Street, USA themed and quite adorable. It's nice to be in a tiny restaurant after being around more than enough people all day. I think your family will really like it.

Actually your two cents had an impact. We cancelled everything we were planning. But then two weeks later found out we were getting a MUCH bigger refund than anticipated... and booked it.

I love the Plaza. We eat there every time we go. The food is very good and the portions are huge! Yes, it is pretty simple food, but it is made well and tastes good, so that's all that matters. The desserts are large and delicious as well, and the theming is pretty nice.
