Dining Discuss What do you do for breakfast? in the Vacation Planning forums; I just pack a couple different options like poptarts, breakfast bars, sweet sixteen doughnuts, etc. Then we get the refillable mugs and that is our drink in the morning....

    Thanks for all the replies!

Poptarts! I eat them everyday and didn't even think of bringing them!

We're probably going to end up buying poptarts and granola and putting them in our suitcase this time around. Knowing myself, I'll probably wake up closer to lunch time anyway!

I've heard that a lot of people on the DDP just save a dessert from one of their meals the day before and eat that for breakfast!

Imagine... chocolate cake for breakfast! Does anyone remember that Cosby reasoning? What's cake made of? Well... you got your eggs right there... milk... wheat... that's all stuff you eat for breakfast! Makes sense, right?

Coffee in the room to wake us up, then something in the park. Hubby loves Main St Bakery, or maybe a character breakfast.

We're not breakfast do-ers either. Our favorite snacks are Trail Mix, Pretzel Sticks and Goldfish crackers. Once you get going and finally realize you're hungry after all the excitement, it's usually lunchtime anyhow.

I am always on the dining plan so we try to do a counter service dinner at the hotel we are staying at. I will get a fruit option as a dessert and have that as a small breakfast before my table service lunch. To be fair, I don't have breakfast very often to begin with.

We usually just take a box or two of granola or breakfast bars with us, and either have one of those or use a snack credit at the resort to get something in the morning. We usually have either our CS or TS lunch between 11:00 and 1:00 and that holds us over until dinner.

If we rented a car we also sneak out to Shoney's right there about a mile east to the entrance of Disney off 192. I think its now 6.99 for breakfast all you can eat and its great. I look forward to one of my "cheat days" eating there in October for a big breakfast.

Re: What do you do for breakfast?

We do a variety of things! We always have one character breakfast. We make a stop at Publix to buy things for the room so some days we will just eat something we brought from there. Some days we will stop and get something at a CS, whether it is at a resort or at a park. Just do what you like!

BTW, we have eaten sweets for breakfast too, as a PP was discussing earlier. A caramel and chocolate covered apple with marshmallow Mickey ears can't be much worse for you than doughnuts and danishes, LOL!

I take both my breakfast and lunch at the same time because I'm always waiting for my husband to arrive home from work.

My second trip it was the same, but there was 11 of us in a villa so we had the capabilities of making eggs & bacon in the morning! This time, because we don't have the plan, we might bring granola or other instant-breakfast type things with us, but I'm not sure what will get squished on the plane. =/

Any ideas on what we should bring? Or should we just use a snack credit on a pastry or something? This is driving me nuts.
We eat at Perkins Restaurant at the Crossroads Of Lake Buena Vista almost every day of our visit. It's right at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd. and the food is excellent and cheap. Awesome baked goods that you can take back to your room also.
