Refillable mugs

Going to Wilderness Lodge in June...I have mugs purchased from there on our last visit.
Can you still refill mugs purchased from a prior vacation?

They have a new design for the "What Will You Celebrate" promotion so older mugs would kinda stick out, but I've seen many do it before and get away with it.

I've used the same mugs for 7 or 8 years and no castmember has ever said a word to me about it.

We used old ones on our last trip. Never had a problem. I remember seeing lots of different mugs ( old ones from the resorts) and never saw any CM's say anything to anyone.

Sheesh... my YOAMD mugs have been so well used at home, I wouldn't even consider bringing them this year, even if Disney said directly that we could!

If we use mugs, we'll be using new ones... it's a cool value for a souvenir anyway... I'd be willing to pay $6-8 for a mug itself, so to get unlimited beverages for throughout our 9-night stay for the additional five or six bucks, I think it's totally worth it!

And I like the new design!

We don't use the resort mugs at home. We save them for the resorts which is why they are in such good condition.

It's printed right there on each mug that it's good for free refills only during the stay in which it was purchased. The signs at every beverage station in every resort say the same thing. It's been this way for many years.

Will a cast member say anyhting to you? I've NEVER heard of that happening. It's a matter of honor and conscience.

I try to demonstrate to my kids that they should do what they know is right, not what they know they can get away with.

It is that moral compass that raises it head again. No, they are for that trip.

They were testing a strip on cup that active for a short span of time that you needed to wave to activate the soda fountains. Never did hear a follow up on it.

Thanks for all your responses. Our last trip was the first time
we purchased the refillable mugs! We will probably be purchasing new ones for this stay...I like the new design better!!

I was told by a Disney bus driver you could use them trip after trip and from one resort to another. But im a Disney Geek, I collect em. crazy huh. Thanks for sharing the picture of the new mugs, I like them better than the last ones. I miss the different ones for the different resorts thou!

There really is no doubt that you are not supposed to use the mugs from a previous trip.

The wording on the mugs have apparently changed with the new design...basically saying that they are only good for the trip AND THE RESORT in which you purchased it...which seems to imply that if you are on a split stay, you can't "transfer" the mug from one resort to the other...but the fountains themselves have not had a wording change yet that at least is more permissible for the resort hoppers...
