Best snack in Animal Kingdom
What are your favorite snacks in Animal Kingdom. We are spending the afternoon in Animal Kingdom 12/23/09 and then we are going to a Wishes Dessert Party at 9pm in MK. We don't want to eat too much but we need something to hold us over. Any ideas?

Re: Best snack in Animal Kingdom
If it isn't raining Yak and Yeti has a good take out window. It is an outdoor venue so rain is a factor. Check out their gift shop around the corner also. While the food is excellent it doesn't tend to stick with you for a long time.
And down past Tusker is a wonderful fruit stand. I don't know what it is about AK, but I get a hankering for fruit when I am there. In that same food area is also a great window for coffee too. Not that Disney Nescafe stuff either. You can smell it throughout the area.

Here...this isn't my picture, but I googled one for you! I think this is one of the biggest hidden secret snack credits on property!

Some years back they use to have the best grilled corn on the cob, it was delicious, but unfortunatly like so many other unique things at Disney it got axed. You may want to try the Safari Egg Roll Kiosk (if it's still opened) near Flights of Wonder.

I agree with Dino-bite snack.

Egg Rolls at Y&Y if you're in the AK.
Or Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey's if you're at the MK.

I agree with both of these as well as the fried rice at Y&Y!
The only thing is that the corn dog nuggets at Casey's no longer qualify as a snack credit if you are on the DDP.

Re: Best snack in Animal Kingdom
My favorite snack was from a little cart near the Kilimanjaro Safaris. It was a spicy shishkebob thing called zebra bites...apparently PETA made a fuss so they stopped selling them in 1999. Man, they were delicious! I never did get a chance to try the giraffe-steak sandwich because by 2000 the cart was no longer there.

Anyways, my vote it for the Y&Y egg rolls

The cinnamon buns at Kusafiri are pretty good, esp. with a cup of coffee.
