Annual pass and dining plan

I was wondering if it is possible to get the dining plan if you are an annual passholder. I would assume so, but don't know if you need to have some kind of regular ticket.

Thanks!

Re: Annual pass and dining plan

I believe AP holders had to buy a one day pass to get the dining plan. This was discussed in listener questions several times on WDW Today. You might be able to put the value of the one day ticket towards your AP renewal. I'm sure the ladies at MouseFan Travel have the answers.

I think thats what I heard too....MUST be a magic your way 1 day at least to get it. Agree Mousefan can help clarify for sure!

I've also heard if you DO have an AP....you are probably way better off to do Tables and Wonderland than to do DDP.

Re: Annual pass and dining plan

Just found the answer on the mom's panel site from Disney, and yes, AP holders can get the dining plan. Thanks for your help!

Re: Annual pass and dining plan

Back in August, I squeezed in one more trip before my AP was up Stayed at Coronado Springs and I was able to add the Dining Plan (Quick Service to be exact.) Didn't need to buy anything extra (like the day pass.) I had the AP Discount on the room and added the QSDP through the website.

What might be confusing is when they do their special offers, like the Free Dining Plan, they do require a full package, which includes at least a day ticket. This isn't the case if you're paying for the Dining Plan.
