I voted for the Brown Derby, Sci Fi and Mama Melrose's. My comments on Sci Fi are the same as yours MBabe, so I won't repeat them.

Resturant: The Hollywood Brown Derby (please note there is no "and" in the name)
Atmosphere: Classic Hollywood! Cool caricatures on the walls.
    Food Rating: Excellent!
Comments: The Brown Derby has the distinction of being the only WDW restaurant we have eaten at on every trip. I love this place. It's got wonderful service and excellent food....GRAPEFRUIT CAKE!!!!!!! I gotta got my fix of this cake. Love it! If you think this place is "too pricey," then I would suggest splitting appetizers/entrees/desserts. DH and I do this frequently and we fill up.

    Resturant: Mama Melrose's
Atmosphere: I really don't remember the decor, other than a typical Italian styled place.
    Food Rating: Very Good
Comments: Mama Melrose's...it was pretty good the night we went. We were pleasantly surprised. We couldn't get into the FDP with the Brown Derby and settled on Mama Melrose's. The reason I voted for it is...BELLINIS!!! I discovered this drink at Palo on the Disney Wonder, and discovered it again two days later at Mama Melrose's. They also have some good breads, which is a must for a carbohydrate lover like myself. I never met a carbohydrate I didn't love.

MGM and Epcot are two parks I shy away from counter service and focus on table service restaurants.

Well, that's what I get for not reading instructions! I only voted for one, Brown Derby. Love the cobb salad and the grouper that is served with asparagus. though it used to be served with a wonderfeul alfredo! I have never tried the grapefruit cake, as I don't like grapefruit. Now had I read instuctions, I would have cast a vote for Mama Melrose's due to the varied menu. For years I thoguht it was only a pizza palce, but they can pretty much make you anything. If you see something on the menu but don't like an ingredient in it or want it to have something added, they will do it! Ecellent for Italian just the way you want it!
I also love Prime time diner, makes me think of our old kitchen when I was a child, and the kitchens of many of my friends. I do have to add, the menu is kinda limited IMHO, but the atmosphere is worth the limited choices. Make sure and share a s'mores for dessert with your table!

    Gin

Edit: Gin... I added your additional two choices to the poll although your name won't show up there. Welcome to DWT! ~ MBabe

50's prime time is my favorite, but it's the only place I've eaten in MGM.

50' s Prime Time Cafe is my favorite also. It might have to do with the fact my brother-in-law had to stand up and sing I'm a little tea cup, for repeatedly putting his elbows on the table.

I like Sci-Fi best but Brown Durby is a close second because of their cobb salad. It's to die for!

i only voted for SCI-FI for pretty much the same reasons as already mentioned...that's really the only place my family eats at mgm..i love it when the clip of the 50 foot man(i don't think that's the right movie title) is on and all the cm's scream when they shove the needle in his ankle and shout watch out when he stabs the scientist with it!

50's Prime Time is DW's and my favorite, because it brings back so many memories of our childhoods.

I say Rosie's All American Cafe just because it's the only place at MGM that has a veggie burger and I don't eat meat.

I like the 50's Prime Time Cafe! They told my mom to wash her hands after they asked her what color the soap was to see if she did or not. That was the first time we ate there about 7 years ago, and every time we go, we eat there or the Sci-Fi Drive In.
