    1st Time w/Dinning Plan

October 2009 we used the dinning plan for the first time and not only did it save us money (there was some special for UK residents I think) we really got to enjoy our food instead of always having quick stop meals. We ate at a lot of places we'd normally not choice due to price or convenience and I for one am so glad we did. One of our faves was Le Cellier in Canada, Epcot. The steak was AMAZING...I'm not much of a steak person, I like it just fine but not what I'd normally order when dinning out...but this one was just divine!! Also, not having a clue about wine but being a Dan Aykroyd fan, I saw his name on the menu in red under some dishes and asked what that mean...would Dan himself serve it?!!? It was that his wine would go good with said meal...well this chardinay was not suggested for my steak but I didnt care, I HAD to have it!! So I had a glass and loved it. So that made that meal extra special for me as well.

Glad you enjoyed it. If you can get the ADRs you want, then the DDP can be a good deal.

Good to hear it worked out for you, does Dan Aykroyd have his own wine?? That would be funny if he showed up at the table with bottle in hand
It's kind of fun to do the impossible!

Good to know, vodka is my drink of choice, I'll have to try it.

Love the DDP...Went to WDW in May of 09, had the deluxe dinning package. Basically, food glutny all week!! It is great to be able to sit down and eat anything on the menu...Since my girlfriend and I both had the plan we both got to pick an appetizer, entree, and dessert. We had enough to eat! Plus tons of snacks during the day that carry over till the last day so you can go to Main Street Bakery and load up to take home with you...

    Howdy gang!

A friend of mine will be going to WDW in September, and I was wanting to see if anyone knows if they'll be offering free dining again anytime soon?

    Thanks!
