Kona or Ohana for dinner?

me and the hubby are going to horror nights on the evening of the 22nd and i would like to do a sit down dinner before we go.. i really like the poly and would like to go there.. so im thinking a 5:30 or so dinner then off to universal.. which would you choose.. because i really like that resort and i wanna try eating some place new.. and plus they do their pin swapping board about that time too...lol

I'd go to Kona if I were you. The sticky wings are great, and the meals are pretty good. The real stars are the desserts though, which you can watch being made in an open-air dessert kitchen.

I would go with Kona also, I don't think it would take as long and you really have to like all that meat they serve at O'hana. I think the best part of O'hana is the wings so now after reading NarniaKnight's post I'm wondering if they are the same wings? If it's the same wings then Kona, hands down.

well i went for Kona.. were going to do whispering canyon for dinner the first night and then saturday is the unverisal day then sunday is chef mickeys then to epcot and the food and wine... then back to the room to get dressed up then off to kona for dinner before jumpin the monorail and heading to MK for the MNSSHP..how does that sound? i wanted to get out a lil and try different places to eat.. but i have to do chef mickeys

I've never been to Kona... but I love Ohana. Maybe it is the same wings? I don't even like wings all that much and I LOVE their wings. And the dumplings. And the pork. And the dessert MM. And the wishes fireworks view!

Anyways, too late for my opinion now haha, and like I said, I've only done the one.

I haven't been to 'Ohana, but I love Kona! The Tuna Oscar is fabulous!!!!

Kona is great for breakfast, but I wasn't overly happy with them for dinner. I'd go to Ohana, which was great for dinner when we went.

The food at Kona for dinner was still good, but I was a little put out by paying $30-$40 for the shrimp and scallop dinner and getting exactly 3 shrimp, 3 scallops and a few tablespoons of rice. Granted it was the best shrimp and scallops i've ever eaten, but it was a rip off. If you go, maybe select a non-seafood dish. My Mom and sister's chicken dish looked good and was nicely portioned.

Okay, I've been to both and I can honestly say that I LOVE both. At Kona, hands down, the Ginger Sirloin is fabulous! And Ohana, well, be prepared to EAT!
