Best Place for a Birthday Dinner

I'm going to Disney for my 18th birthday in September. Actually, my best friend gave me the idea last week and my parents approve! So we're trying to get everything in order on such short notice (but hey, at least we don't have to wait as long!! Its so hard being calm knowing your wishes are going to come true again!). Anyways, does anyone have any ideas or stories of the best place for dinner? It will for my mom, my best friend and me.

    Thanks!

yeah we went to the coral reef on our first trip. It was okay, I'd prefer Prime Time! We'll have to check our chef mickey's because of all the times we've been to disney we've never been to a character dinner or breakfast!

We went in February for my 17th birthday and ate at the castle. If you're willing to spend the money, It was great. The food was good, and since now dinner has the Princesses, there was a lot of interaction. Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare are good character dinners. If you're looking for a great atmosphere, and don't mind a little embarrasment, I'd go to Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. They always have the entire restraunt join in on birthday celebrations, and the food is good too!

Ooo ya Biergarten is fun. What about Ohana? I went for my graduation celebration dinner with my bf (we couldn't afford anything too fancy) and it was great... we got reservations perfectly timed so that desert was spent watching Wishes (they pipe the music in and turn out the lights). They sang a song and I got to blow candles out of a cupcake even though it wasn't my birthday, and it's fun learning to do the Hula with all the kids (we weren't the only older ones who went up hehe). I've been there twice and have always loved the food, and always walk away stuffed to the gills! I went a few years ago with my best friend also an had an equally wonderful time.

On our first trip, my mom was talking about going to wispering canyon. We had some close family friends go just before we went and they said that they asked for some ketchup and before they knew they had their table FULL of ketchup bottles!! Maybe we'll have to check it out!

My mom was talking about that too! Everytime we talk about where we're gonna eat she ALWAYS drops hints about going to the Polynesian for dinner! We might have to check it out!

I managed a late dinner at Crystal Palace on the 24th of May for DD's birthday dinner. I haven't been able to get a Chef Mickey's yet.
