    Beaches and Cream

I've heard you can walk to Beaches and Cream from Epcot... and my friends and I really wanna try a No Way Jose so during our Epcot days seems like a good idea.

The two people I'm going with have never been to Disney before, so I'm wondering if it's maybe a bad idea to take a detour while we are in the park? I want them to experience everything they can in Epcot.
How long does it take to walk there and back... like will it really cut into a chunk of our day?

It's not far, from the International Gate it's about an 8 minute walk (as I remember it) the thing that may take awhile is getting a seat, they don't take ressies.
It's kind of fun to do the impossible!

Haven't had the food, only the ice cream. Nice to sit out by the pool and feast.

    Re: Beaches and Cream

What would people recommend from Beaches and Cream??

I don't like penut butter and don't want to make myself sick from the Kitchen Sink I heard about on the WDW 24 Live Podcast.

It will be my first time too.

They have excellent burgers. I would say the best in Disney World. It is not a big restaurant and the wait time can be pretty long sometimes, but if there are only a couple of you you can get a quick seat at the counter. The walking distance is not far at all from the gates in the World Showcase. We have stayed at the Yacht and Beach many times and walking to EPCOT is actually quicker than taking the boat. They have a quite a few ice cream desserts that are amazing besides the No Way Jose. I highly recommend B&C to anyone.

Go there. it is a short walk from EPCOT The burgers are the best in WDW, and the desserts are great. It is almost always crowded at lunch time though so if you can wait til 130 or 200 in the afternoon you might be betetr off.

Just a warning if you sit at the counter, we sat there once and it turned our appetites off, It was filthy, noone wiped down the counter and dishes were piled up everywhere. There was even an odd smell. Not sure if it was just a bad night or what, but if I go back I won't sit at the counter.

    Re: Beaches and Cream

I sat at the counter twice and I must say it is not as good as sitting at the table, but I didn't find the experience to be bad. My only complaint really was having to watch all the workers hustle and stress out in the back. It made me feel bad and reminded me of my job back home.
