the mexican place in epcot

i know there redoing it.. but i heard that it will have a soft opening.. then like after oct 15th they will start taking ressies.. well the lil quickservice place there is that what they did is combined the quick service and the table service in one building?

its my hubby's fav place in epcot.. he is a picky eater..

so im i correct? or what is the deal.. i would really like to get ressies there

The Disney Parks Blog updated news on the new restaurant opening soon in Epcot's Mexico Pavilion, La Hacienda. According to the blog, the new restaurant's menu will feature freshly made corn tortillas and a variety of salsas, as well as "spectacular" appetizers, such as chiles toreados y chorizitos. La Hacienda will also feature tequila flights, and a whole new line of margaritas, including a coffee margarita, and one made from fresh blueberries, mango puree and mashed basil. La Hacienda will be on the Disney Dining Plan, with most entrees requiring 1 point, except for the larger entrées that are for 2 guests, which require 2 points. The all-new La Hacienda de San Angel and La Cantina de San Angel are on schedule for a mid-September opening, taking reservations for October 15 and thereafter. (The first few weeks will be a "soft opening" with no reservations.)

so basicly if you do lunch its quick-service and if you do dinner its tableservice and you need ressies.. is this correct?

That`s what I thought it was, counter service at lunch and table at dinner.

They have a little booth selling some food there now just temporarily and I must say, the quesidillas were sooooo good... better than any of the counter service stuff they had before (and I loved their food before!). So if it`s not open yet there will still be food (there were a few other options as well).

Can't wait to see the reviews on this place. Its nice to hear the food at the little stand there now is pretty good. We ate at the counter service place a few years ago and my tacos were horrible. Hopefully the food will be plussed with the revamp.

Yes it sounds like they will be doing a clever little switcharoo mid-afternoon to table service. I'm sure the location will be perfect for illuminations and there might be some tables hogged up for a while by some margarita indulging tourists.

I always liked the Cantina de San Angel Inn outside restaurant.So from what I am reading they are changing that too? Will I still be able to get the fast food tex mex like before?I like the tex mex stuff that they have had.I do hope it doesn't change.
