'Ohana for Breakfast
Hey everybody, I have a question.
In a couple weeks I will be in Disney and will be going to 'Ohana for breakfast.
I love this restaurant!! But, I've only had dinner and I'm wondering how their breakfast is. I read the menu on Intercot and it looks good, but I was wondering if anybody had any input for this.

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
It's a very basic breakfast, eggs, sausage, fruit, waffles. Tasty and it's nice for a character meal to not be a buffet
The only thing I'd say negative about it is that if you have all adults in your party, immediately ask for a second platter, there won't be enough otherwise!

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
We went here for breakfast a few years ago and were not impressed. The breakfast was basic (eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, ect) but that wasn't really the issue. It was the standard of food that we were served. I just feel that for a lot less money we could have gone over to Kona Cafe or Captain Cooks and had a better tasting meal for less money. That being said the characters were good and I do love 'Ohana for dinner.

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
We loved Ohana for breakfast when we went in 2008. My youngest DD was into Lilo and Stitch big time so it was perfect. I found the food excellent, and the orange juice must have had mango or something in it because it was not just OJ, but boy was it good. I liked having the food brought to the table instead of getting up and going to a buffet table, and if there is not enough all you have to do is ask for more of whatever you want. I think we enjoyed it more than Chef Mickey's!

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
Depends are you there for the food or the Characters?
If the purpose is to dine with Characters they are great. I also love sitting through a meal. Just not a fan of the up and downs of buffet dining. I was not impressed with the food. It was perfectly fine. To me, perfectly fine isn't worth that kind of money. Kona serves much better food. Now dinner is another story. I love to eat here for dinner.
Now onto the Orange juice thing.....Disney calls it Pog Juice at Ohana
The brand Minutemaid. It is a Coke-Cola product.
You will see minutemaid choices at the counter-service, soda fountains.
Our local grocery store carries this choice in the refrigerated section of juices (cardboard containers) and frozen.

Punch up your refreshment with Minute MaidŽ punches – made with real fruit and an excellent source of Vitamin C. Available in plenty of flavours your family will love, you're sure to find one for everyone.

For some reason I like the frozen one better

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
I'm going to O'Hana this year for two reasons:
1: Mickey Waffles and
2: Stitch
I'm sure the food probably won't be worth the money it will be edible and I'm sure we'd get alot cheaper elsewhere but I reckon when your on holiday you're allowed treats and this is mine.... well this and the whole holiday but whatever lol!

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
Nice to know about the Minute Maid juice! I will check for it in the grocery store. I hope we can get that flavour here in Canada.

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
It is a good Breakfast.
The family style sit down is quite possibly one of better meals because there is no trips to the buffet. The Characters come to you at your table. I truly prefer this to alot of the other meet and great meals and the VIEW!!!!
It is a picturesque view of Cinderellas Castle. truly worth it.

When I went to Disney for the first time there was a Magic I felt. I could do anything or be anything. No feeling would ever top this......
Then I took my daughter.

Re: 'Ohana for Breakfast
I liked the frozen better too.
And this was from All Ears today.
'Ohana will be closed for dinner, for refurbishing from January 2 through and including February 1, 2011. We called 407-WDW-DINE and were given this information. They are still taking reservations for breakfast, but not dinner.
I find this odd. How do you halt refurbishing for breakfast. Wonder during a slower time and free dining, they are just taking Ohana's
out of the picture for a month.
