Mongellos Restaurant

Has anyone dined at Mongellos down in Naples?? We're going to skip out to Busch Gardens one day and was wondering what its like??

I was actually thinking about it last night. It's a bit over an hour from me but I figure since we all know how important quality food is to Lou, the fam restaurant must be good.

OK, please don't ridicule me if I'm barking up the wrong tree, but... is this really Lou's family's restaurant? Or should I just keep my mouth shut and go back to eating my chocolate brownie....???

As far as I know it is. Per their website they moved from NJ and there is a link on the front page to wdwradio.com. Not sure how they are related but I will let you know how the food is sometime ;-)

His parents own the resturant and he and the family helps run it. I'm guessing it's amazing. I don't think Lou would allow it to be otherwise. Someday I'm going to head past WDW when I'm there and go visit Lou and the resturant. If you know you're going try and let Lou know. I'm sure he'd appreicate hearing how you liked it.

It is Lou's family restaurant because he has Tweeted many times while he was there running it.

Already sent him the email but I think he might be at Disneyland that week. Was looking forward to meeting him while dining there if possible but I'm sure I'll still enjoy the food!!

I'm curious about the food, but may be distracted by looking at everything as carefully as possible to see if there are any hidden mickeys.

Was thinking about this weekend maybe, but it rains like mad across the alley (route I'd take to get there) every summer day.

As Lori said.. it IS really his family's place. How cool is that? I would love to go down there. Might have to make the trek when Im in Ft Lauderdale in November. Its all about the lasagna baby!

Now I understand why Lou moved to FL besides being closer to DW, and why he retired from law.
