    Re: Best Character Breakfast/Lunch

On our last trip, we went to "Donald's Safari Breakfast" at the Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom. Our reservations were for 8:30am (before the park opened) so we were granted early access.

You will have the chance to get a Photopass picture with Donald right before you go into the restaurant (you check in with your reservation, wait in a short queue for a photo, and then can be seated). Be prepared for the $40 to get your photos of your family with Donald outside (they bring your printed photos to your table mid-meal for the sales push.) A tip for you is that Photopass photographers can also take pictures for your with YOUR camera if you like. The characters (Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy) circulate through the restaurant for pictures at your table with your own camera.

To food was great, the buffet line went fast, and the experience was really a good one. I highly recommend it.

I'm personally a fan of Cape May Buffet for breakfast over at the Beach Club. You have Minnie, Donald & Goofy. So no Mickey, but it's a little more low-key than some of the other character meals, so it appeals to me

Chef Mickey's. There is something about the experience of being in the Grand Canyon Concourse with the monorail overhead, Mickey just feet away, and a full buffet with good food.

Did Tusker House last March and wasn't very impressed with the food.

I thought of Chef Mickey's also for the exact reasons you stated.

If there are kids - Chef Mickey's. If it's just adults then Le Cellier and splurge a little. Both are great places to eat, they just offer two completely different experiences. Chef Mickey's is a must for us, even if there are no children in the party. Le Cellier is good food, but much less of a Disney experience. I am sure you'll be happy either way.

Chef Mickey's is great for the classic characters. We had breakfast in the castle at our last visit, and although Mickey and Minnie weren't there, we met all of the princesses, and it was magical to be in the castle! (And the food was good, too!)

I like Chef Mickey's but I really like Crystal Palace especially if your kids are into Pooh and Friends.

I'm right there with you. I got my ADRs for Chef Mickey's for our trip in June yesterday! I can't wait.
