Teppan Edo is my favorite place to eat in Epcot!! It is so much fun! You will be seated at a table for 8 so there will be others with you you don't know. Get to know your neighbors. It makes it better.
If thye know it's her birthday they will give her a chef's hat to wear. I can't remember if they gave me a piece of cake for my birthday.

The Better Half and I have been there several times. it is a great experience! The Chef always puts ona great show, the food is quite good. A few things to keep in mind. Youa re sitting right in fornt of a very hot drill, so be careful. it is group seating so you will be seated with other guests (not a big deal but some people are surprised).
The meal choicesa are varied (shrimp, chicken beef scallops, veggies and the like). All in all it is a great experience and the food is quite good.

Re: EPCOT: Teppan Edo (feedback wanted)
If you like ordering gyoza as an appetizer at your usual Japanese restaurants, you will be disappointed, because they don't have it. The salad has a ginger dressing, which is pretty good, not to tangy. I skipped the miso soup as I do not care for it. For Teppan Yaki, it's pretty good. I ordered the chicken, as usual.
I have to admit, it is better than Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Cocoa Beach. Is that on the dining plan? If so, it would be a much better bargain. Of course with Disney, everything costs more money.
We have annual passes, so no dining plan for us. I did look at the menu for the Mexican restaurant and I SOOO much want to try it. I plan on a different country each month. We did Paris in February.
How old will she be?

Another big thumbs up from me and hubby - in our top 5 places to eat at 'The World'. The chefs are SOOO entertaining and the food is delicious. It's not the cheapest place to grab a bite to eat, but it's so worth the money and the staff there are just lovely. I always feel like I've stepped in to a little piece of Japan when we eat there.

I enjoyed it, but honestly, I didn't see much more of a "show" than I will see in my local Japanese restaurant. The food is very good. It is a great place for adults to eat and it is always fun.

Re: EPCOT: Teppan Edo (feedback wanted)
Had dinner there for the first time in Mid-March. Had a wonderful meal. Our chef was the best of the four in our area. He really put on a great show. I would be leary of bringing small children for dinning there only because the VERY hot cooking plate is in easy reach of a small child who may be quickier than the parent expects. Enjoy.

Japan is my second favorite place to eat in world showcase. It is great, and the food is great too.

We are heading back in October, and it is the first place my oldest asked to go! The food was wonderful, and the atmosphere fun! You won't be disappointed!
