Other countries offered free dining perk with a twist

Historically, it is not unusual for free dining to be offered first to those guests from other countries. It often hints at what is to come. So something similar could be coming our way. This time it has another layer to its dining twists.

This is from ALL EARS Hears, (sorry wouldn't link to newsletter)

... from **** **** in Buenos Aires, Argentina: Just wanted to let you know that Disney World has released a new Free Dining Plan promotion for Spain, Portugal and Latin America residents. Travel dates are from August 28 to September 24, 2011. The promotion is very similar to last year, but this year you must also book a Photopass Photobook ($100 per room) in order to be given the free Dining Plan. If you stay at a Value Resort, you get the Quick Service Dining Plan for free. If you stay at a Moderate or Deluxe Resort, you get the Dining Plan for free.

They just released it for the Disney Visa Holders too..except I don't think you need to buy Photopass too.

Yep, you need to buy a Photopass for that one too.

And it opens up to everyone on May 2nd.

    Oh you do?? No thanks.

I did the math and not surprisingly, my room only rate for September works out to be a lot better. (It's just me for 2 nights staying at BLT...)

No kidding. That certainly wasn't a difficult math problem. $100 would go a long way. Disney is certainly pushing that photo pass hard, betting they would not be taking the dining food pictures of yours that I love.

    Hah! Probably not!

And I just got an iPhone, so I'll be hard-core on my next trip since I'm going to try-out using it as my only camera. Of course I'll be tweeting everything out! Then I'll come back and put everything on the thread!!
