Making a reservation
Hi all,
I was just wandering how far in advance you need to book for a meal? We'll be at WDW in October and want to book Le Cellier for dinner one night.
Basically if you could just give an idea of the time scale or advance bookings you have made.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Making a reservation
It's 180 days out.... so you could have booked them a month or two ago. I've only been able to get a Le Cellier reservation once, and it was made exactly 180 days out and we could only get it for lunch (no dinners left). If I were you I would check out the online dining reservation site and just keep trying, especially close to the day in case people cancel and something opens up.

Re: Making a reservation
It seems getting a reservation even 6 months in advance is difficult. Le Cellier is a tough one to get. I understand many have had more luck walking up without a reservation, but I don't think LeCellier would present that chance. I suggest you try to grab something that night that may be a good alternate and then just keep trying LeCellier in case someone cancels. Keep trying the on line reservation system..you never know!
Good luck!

Re: Making a reservation
For dinner now that it's 2 credits/signature status, booking LeCellier might be easy. Pretty much the rule of thumb for booking any Disney meal is that if you know what you want and you're at 180 days or less, go book it.

Re: Making a reservation
It was two-credits when I booked and it was still easier to get a lunch (1 credit) than dinner. I am curious to see if this changes though the longer we are into the change. Either way, it will still likely be hard to get a reservation when the 180 day mark was back in april.
Good luck!

Ok, a long shot but can anyone remember If the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK is the place that does the real nice corn bread??

Re: Making a reservation
book somewhere else but always try walk up---- then be nice and cancel your reservation if necessary... put the disney dining phone number in your cell

Re: Making a reservation
Le Cellier may be easier now with two dining credits for dinner. Keep trying until you leave, then try a walk up at the restaurant itself at the park.

as I said before, I tried making reservations at 180 days out after the credit change and couldn't book a dinner still, but was able to get a lunch (at exactly 180 days out). I just now picked a bunch of random dates in October and couldn't find any open dinner times
It doesn't seem like the two-credit thing is helping a whole lot with the popularity thing. Personally the lunch menu sounds more appealing to me and worth the one credit more than the dinner is worth two, so I would stick with a lunch adr anyhow

Re: Making a reservation
The BEST place to eat is The Crystal Palace for breakfast. GREAT way to start off the day. The food is kid and adult friendly. You also get to meet the Winnie The Pooh gang.
