In her place will be Katsura Grill.

I think the Disney Food Blog compares menu.

At least the "official" opening date is not on Pearl Harbor Day, yesterday took the construction walls down.

Disney just opted to announce it this morning in their email blog. Oh Disney.

It's not really that big of a deal. Folks nowadays don't equate Japanese restaurants with Hirohito and Kamikaze pilots.

To a certain extend I do agree with the restaurant theory. Epcot, it is the Japan Pavilion representing a country. Out of all the days to reopen that resturant, in that pavilion, I am more stunted the most appropriate day to open it is Pearl Harbor Day.

Maybe I am different from Mainstream America having an Uncle at Pearl Harbor that day and my Dad was stationed in Japan subsequently or maybe it is a day in history many Americans just don't have a connection to any longer.

My great uncle was a prisoner of war, courtesy of Japan so perhaps we have a kinship to historicals that some just don't.

It was a bit strange to reopen on that date, but Disney will make money no matter what day it is. Odd for sure.
