Food has been mediocre at best so a new menu has to be exciting.

never ate at scifi yet...but the menu looks good!!
Woop Woop :yahoo: We always eat at Sci fi dinner, aiming for a late lunch but the lunch menu was quite limited with no steak ::faint: as they had a separate lunch/dinner menu. So it looks like they have merged the two... So I cant wait to put it on my ADR list :-D
I can barely eat the hamburger. That double burger must be HUGE!
It's about time. The food really needed an upgrade.
I guess it is nice to have a new menu. The update certainly offers some upgrades you never saw at Drive-In.
Atmosphere is neat. Food there is cr@p. I'd welcome an upgraded meal.
Ok yall here's the update! Mybrother and his family just got back from WDW and they ate supper at Sci Fi.I am like a lot of yall,I have never eaten there but it is because I have heard the food was BLAH! Especially compared to Prime Time Cafe.So we always ate there. But anyway,my brother had the dining plan and he had an awesome steak there and the rest had some good stuff too.So apprently, this food menu upgrade is a good thing and if you people knew my brother, then if he says it was great then it was great!he is a steak connoseur and he knows what he's talking about,so it's all good.Info city.
And my DS is the King of the Best Burgers. He ate there a few weeks back and said it was one of the worst of the sit down restaurants he has had a burger at. Guess we just learned to eat the steak!
I laugh at how many people don't like Sci-Fi. I've never had a bad meal there. I'm just glad they kept the Reuben!!
Even though we have never eaten at Sci Fi,I do agree with you.But the way I agree with is this:a person can have a bad meal anywhere! They can have a bad meal at Ruth Criss Steakhouse if it's possible. But on the same note,a person can hav a fantastic meal at Mickey D's! It's all in how you look at it.Taco bell can be a great meal if you go in there with the mindset to enjoy your meal.A Mickey D's cheeseburger can be fine if you feel in your heart it will.So it is with Sci Fi,yeah there has been a lot of bad mouthing about the food there, but what is everyone comparing it to?I had several great meals at the Pinocchio Village Haus over in Magic Kingdom. They have great salads.it's all what a person perceives it to be.This all started when someone years ago did have a bad meal or either they were too picky to be pleased and this is where this junk started.Matter of fact: I am eating a bowl of Quaker instant grits right now with butter and salt and pepper added and this is a great breakfast! So stop whining people and eat!
Sorry, I disagree on that one. If I'm going to pay inflated prices for a meal it had better be good. I believe the executive chef should take pride in what is being cooked by their staff. If I order a steak medium, well done will not make me happy.
If I order a white car it shouldn't be black upon delivery. I don't like the new trend of blaming the consumer for being picky. If I shaved someones golden retriever bald I can anticipate disgruntled.
And if you have been reading Random Thoughts, we've had some great grit conversations. Being from the North, bet you can guess my take on them.
I do agree with you.If one pays a high price for food then yes,it should be perfect,or darn near perfect. But I am not putting blame on the consumers,I am one myself.I was not incinuating that with my comment.
I do not know what random thoughts is.Is this another forum here on this site? But mby your comment,I take it that you do not like grits.Well that's fine, because everyone doesn't like the same things. There are things that I do not like,so no problem on that one.I was just using that as an example as to how items can be good or bad, depending on how they are perceived by the individual.Sorry if any part of my comment got under your skin;never intended it that way.
:) Nope, not a fan of grits. Nor that gravy and biscuit thing either. It is amazing for one Nation to have so many different food traditions by regions.
