    Advance Dining Reservations is A Terrible Name

    Does anyone else agree with me on this? The name is just so redundant. By saying reservations It is already in advance!     I wonder if the word Advance is more of way to say "hey- get your plans early because you might not have a choice if you wait til the last minute." That's my take on it. Not quite subliminal here but same purpose.

    I'd say it fits. I can't think of many times I made a dining reservation 180 days in advance in the real world. That's pretty "Advance" if you're asking me.

    I suppose it's just as good as Preferred or Priority Seating

    I actually preferred Priority Seating. They wouldn't call them reservations for the longest time so that when they ran late, they would tell you that it's just a priority seating, which meant you basically got bumped to the start of the line.
