We haven't done the ddp in a few years but we always seemed to get ice cream for our snack credits.

If you are there for Food and Wine that is where I'd be spending my snack credits.
Most of mine in April went to the Sea Salt Chocolate Covered Caramels in Germany Pavilion. Slurp.
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.
I definitely agree with the Food & Wine suggestion! We make a meal out of it, sharing dishes from around the world.
I also love the giant zebra cupcakes they sell in a little stand hidden in AK, the Mickey pretzels in MK, and designing our own chocolate covered marshmallows at Goofy's Candy Factory in DTD. We really love scoping out the unusual - going beyond just the ice cream and popcorn, though those are great, too!

We just keep an eye out when we're walking; if we see something that looks yummy, we'll ask and 9 times out of 10, it'll be on the plan.
The Disney food blog did. A great article about the best snack credits (http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/0...lues-for-2012/). It suggested bakeries for breakfast food and even using the points to buy tomato soup, baked potatoes, or other items to make a meal!
I also love using snack points in World Showcase, even when F&W isn't going on. All kinds of yummy goods can be bought from the pavilions, though some - like the German pretzels- look better than they actually taste, IMO. exploring new foods, though, is one of our favorite parts of DDP. :-)

Thanks! LookingforRoo and I were looking at using the snack credits mostly for Food and Wine but were also looking for some 'hidden treasures'
Thanks for the ideas!
When we were there in January last year we had the dining plan for the first time. We love the Food & Wine Festival, but haven't been able to make it there during that time in years. So last year, with our snack credits, we made our own F&W Fest by doing a snack tour around World Showcase. It was fun - we tried lots of things we hadn't had before.

Whenever we have extra, we would load up on rice krispie treats and take them back home. It was nice to have a snack watching a Disney movie at home and talk about how much fun we had.
