How is Toad extinct? He's still a Disney character.

Was the character officially "retired" or "buried"? Say it isn't so!

I still like him! I even have him on DVD with Ichabod!! I realize the ride no longer exists in Florida, but this is just a general Disney character survey....not a ride/movie survey.
