If anyone is planning on driving and utilizing a stay/park/cruise package at a Port Canaveral hotel, you probably want to get a move on and make a reservation. There is a shuttle launch scheduled for that weekend, and the hotels are filling up.

I found a park and cruise package at the Clarion Hotel on Merritt Island. Phone number is 321-452-7711. It is $129.99 + tax for 2 people in a king bed. Parking at the terminal is $15 a day, so you are looking at at least $60 parking. I couldn't find any other hotels with a shuttle, and other hotels in the area were in the $120 range anyway.

We got our airline tickets and park tickets done for everybody in our group!

Spring-a-Leak Opens at Castaway Cay

A new water playground, Spring-a-Leak, has opened at Castaway Cay. Although the splash area is open to guests of all ages, it's likely to be hit with the younger children with its splash pad, spray jets, and water fountains.

I am attending the pre-cruise event Illumination VIP viewing at 9pm (February 26). The hours for EPCOT World Showcase show 11am-9pm, does this mean the park is officially closed when Illuminations begins?

In other words, you would need to get your food & souvenirs before the event. Becky just posted about hanging around World Showcase lagoon after Illuminations so they must allow people to wonder around while everything is closed. Any ideas?
