Colleen I think that is a great idea. James, yes that is a good point the pictures may be to hard for them to review with the length of the cruise if everyone would participate. But then it could just be us, you never know:D

[QUOTE=dzneynut;865193]One of the best Disney scavenger hunts we've ever been involved in was back in the old DIS-CON days. What made it challenging and fun was including the cast members, or in this case, the crew members! As it turns out, it's a very simple concept; you don't have to just collect pictures, you collect signatures!

You could add a few that required the person to take their picture with something or someone (ie. the cutest crew member, lol, or a character or a hidden mickey). Not a lot of pictures, but maybe a couple. I think Nolan is right that maybe going thru that many pictures may be cumbersome (sp?).
Just confirmed that I will have dinner with Lou and Beci. So, I am going to try and get some info out of them.
Good Luck. They will be tuff. Get all that you can. We will be wating
Best wishes Mary Jo, can't wait to hear what you find out. Even if its just one bone I would be happy;)
Here is a recap. Any additions?
Seriously, a group dinner at Palo?
some kind of get together at one of the club...maybe Lou will sing for us
special time to ride the Aqua Duck?

I hear Lee Cockrell is an amazing speaker...
Captain Jack Sparrow (the original would be awesome)
any artist, sculptor, imagineer or legend would be all good for meh
Bob Jackson??????
1) John Lasseter as a featured speaker. Ok, I didn't say you couldn't dream big.
2) Any of the Disney Legends!!!! (Charlie Ridgeway, X Atencio, etc)
3) Imagineers!!!!
4) Group Palo lunch or brunch (which we all couldn't fit at the same time)
5) Para-sailing (sp?) Meet
6) Private Castaway Cay Beach Party for our group
7) Group BINGO
8) Goofy Put-Put Tournament
My ideas are similar to whats already posted:
Group meal at Palo
Imagineers (current or retired - how cool would Marty Sklar be?)
Maybe a special group excursion in Nassau
Private tour of the ship
Well one thing I would love to do is group deck photos! As well as have a giant WDW Radio photo with characters!

Tour of the ship!!!!!!!
I want Joe Rohde!!! Hey Mojo, what about Jason Surrell?
Put Put tournament for the Dream Team and have a childs division for Cassidy to kick some butt
how about even just a specific location for our group to gather for the Pirate Party. Bon Voyage... etc....so we know ahead of time...
WE NEED A WDW RADIO/MEI newsletter!!! could be sent out with our cruise packets from our agents...
How about a sunrise(6 am?) WDW Radio group jog. Led by MoJo of course.
"Cabanas" probably has ice cream--- what about a meet for those on board at 1:00 (?) on Sunday. You know we will all be looking for each other...
"Sunday Sundae Meet at 1:00"
Well, talking with Big Poppa, we should do a "kilt" meet.
I was thinking of trying to do some sort of Mad Hatter Tea Party.
I like the parasailing meet.
I think we should have a story time with MoJo, and there should be a live podcast from the boat.
What about doing Deck names? I'm partial to pirate location names.
Marty Sklar would be COOL!!!
YES, private Ship tour!!!
If we have a Mad Hatter Tea Party, then I guess we'll have to invite the Red Queen. Of course, Lou will be distracted the whole cruise.
Tony Baxter - -
Put put would be a fun thing.
Lou singing karoke
Any of the Disney Legends would be great. Oh and Julie Andrews! What a great guest she was.
Richard Sherman was so interesting too
A group photo with the Admiral Donald statue.
Recording a live podcast would be cool.
I thought the Goofy putt-putt was for the kids section?
A huge WDW Radio Show conga line on the beach at Castaway Cay. Lou has to wear a fruit hat.
I like the tour of the ship idea.
HEY!! Samantha Brown has a Twitter account...... @samtravels
you know at some point she's gonna have to do an episode on the new Disney Cruise Ship, why not shoot the ep with a big group of Disney fans?
Love all the ideas I was thinking at work about the Live Web broadcast podcast. That would be so much fun
When I was on the Magic they used the movie theatre for the autograph session with Ducky Williams, I am wondering if Lou is able to do a gathering of his own using a venue as large as that????
I can sing Feed the Birds if you like.
I heard X Atnecio sing Grim Grining once. Amazing!
A 5k on Castaway Cay!! Cool idea! We can make ribbons for those that participate!
Although a We Wants The Redhead rum meet in a bar would be wicked fun! Maybe on pirate night
All I want to add is Margaret Kerry
I will, in fact, be bringing my very first KILT aboard with me for the cruise and I urge others to do the same. I know Erin and Mitch will be down...Brian is on the fence, so I will continue to work on him...Steve and Lou are another story.
Since I have a Virtual Porthole in my room, I was originally planning the "Big Poppa Virtual Porthole & Hot Oil Meet" which was nipped in the bud by my lovely wife.
would like to see Tony Baxter, Joe Rohde, a lifetime of never getting off the ship, ummm mind just went blank as i daydream looking at piles of snow
1. Group Dinner At Palos
2. Getting a Cabana to store our stuff when we are Castaway Cay
3. Definitely getting LOU to sing at the Karaoke Club 8(
4. Doing group games at Castaway Cay
5. Meeting for a meal on Castaway Cay
6. Going as a group to see the shows
I've been thinking about how a bunch of us can share a cabana.......
waiting for final details to come out the expansions at Castaway.
How about an adult scavanger hunt on Castaway Cay???
Some ideas from my previous cruise;
wear a group logo'd shirt
meet at the port
meet for lunch
meet on a deck above the party before sailaway
meet in a lounge prior to the drill
meet at a stage show
meet for dinner
meet in the clubs
meet for a movie
exchange gifts and/or notes via fish extenders
I also forgot to add above: a meet at the watercoaster will be planned
which day exactly has yet to be determined
How about a photographic scavenger hunt???
Make a list of things around the ship that folks need to get a photo of by the end of the cruise. If we went this route my next question would be when would we have it end? During or after the cruise???
...things like a photo with the Admiral statue, a photo of a swimming pool, photo with a Disney character, photo of a DCL crew member, etc.

We made so many cast member's day, by just asking them for their autograph. Most of them had never been asked before. What makes it interesting is the category of the people your getting to sign. You could have a whole series of categories, such as:
Crew members with the first name of Walt or Lillian.
Married or related crew members (both on board.)
A crew member with more than 10 years with the company.
A crew member from ______ (insert country here.)
One of the bridge officers.
A crew member from your home-state.
A member of the entertainment staff.
One of the bartenders (it would help if they could make a wicked martini!)
A rookie crew member (first cruise job.)
One of the photographer, lifeguard, guest relations, child care, cabin stewards, waiters, etc. crew members.
You get the idea; the object is to encourage dialog with the crew/cast member.
(I'll go back to lurking now!)
Wow you have a lot to take to the table. Best wishes even if we get a few that would be great. That is a long list. :faint:
Surely, they can manage to accomidate us on a few of those, lol!
And I have it all printed up ready to give to them :)
