Lou's Cruise...before or after or both

As of right now, it looks like we are going at least one day before the cruise and then staying for a few days afterwards. Not sure where we are staying yet, though.

Hi all! We just signed up for the Illuminations dessert party and 2 nights at POFQ.we will probably stay for 2 nights afterwards too! Also trying to make the meet in NJ in June...
We are also looking forward to meeting everyone!

Woo-hoo booked 2 nights before at Beach Club. Not sure where i am staying after cruise most likely will do FQ for 3 nights.

We are looking to arrive Saturday the 19th, stay in DW for a week and then go to the cruise. The idea behind it is that a week in the parks will exhaust us and we can relax on the boat. If we go to the parks after the cruise, it will be harder going to work after that.
It so hard to plan so far in advance without prices being out yet for the parks, rooms and flights.

We booked the Illuminations Dessert party & 2 nights in Beach Club. So excited I was lucky to stay there before & loved it. After we are looking at POFQ from Thursday after until Sunday.

I was leaning towards Riverside but would change to FQ in a heartbeat

Mom and I are doing POFQ 2 nights before (hello Illuminations party!) and will do DVC after - probably until that Sunday. We're at Bay Lake Tower for 1 night when we go in for our Wonder cruise next month...so Mom's thinking she may want to do BLT again. But if we like Boardwalk (post cruise this summer) we may do that again, or use our points to stay at the Grand Floridian.

Since we are driving down on Saturday from Alabama, we are going to stay at a Port Canaveral area hotel that provides free parking and a shuttle bus to the ship.

We have made reservations at Saratoga Springs for Thursday and Friday night. I hope to change them to another resort at the 7 month window, depending on which park we want to go to on Friday (DW is leaning towards AK since we really haven't spent a lot of time there recently). Then we drive home on Saturday so we have a little time to rest before work on Monday.

I prefer Riverside to POFQ because of the site down breakfast. Does anyone have pros for FQ over riverside besides the walking?
