Well for the people who won't be on the cruise this would be a great way to see the fun on the cruise, OR get an update after the cruise about what happened on the cruise and be included in the fun and meet up with the Box People It's just a FUN idea, and poll only!

I think a 24hr show would be pushing it. poor Lou, can he not just enjoy a holiday...

Also whats internet like on the cruise ships?

While this could certainly be cool for those who arent coming-This really isn't technically feasible. Ship wifi is PAINFULLY slow and unreliable (and expensive). And international roaming charges to use some kind of mobile broadband option like a mi-fi or a aircard would be prohibitively expensive for 24 hours.

I can understand what you mean Shelly... Although I did hear that the ship has free wifi... Might be wrong Maybe after cruise? Hahaha I just am so excited for the cruise and thought that since many other Box members who are going who might want to be out of the Box with Lou for some fun

Wifi is NOT free on the Magic or Wonder - or any other ship I have been on. So I doubt it will be on the Dream.

I think on podcast #143 Beci said something about the teens having Wifi or maybe the cruise website said something about that... Don't remember. I wonder if it will be free.

I can understand that you are not going to be in those clubs but I was trying to make a point of saying that they wouldn't be advertising that the kids get wifi if is wasn't free since the parents would have to play for it. So I just thought that maybe since they might have the wifi free for the kids that it would be the same for adults. Sorry if I did not explain it clearly... I just got pretty excited about the cruise Oh and I checked that website and it says that the rates are for the Wonder and Magic. Not the Dream... but I guess we might keep checking back to see if they will add the Dream to that page.

Free wifi or not there is no way in H-E double hockey sticks that Lou is going to do a 24 hr. live show from the cruise. He's going to be so busy running around and I'm sure he has tons planned already that there wouldn't be any time to do it. MAYBE he'll have his meet of the month once we are back to port and broadcast that live but that's probably it.

Tammy- I did more searching and the Internet in the teen club is for an additional fee according to the Disney website. Even if it was free since it's the teen club it wouldn't be available for Lou to use for a 24 hr broadcast since it's the teen club.

And the reason the dream wasn't listed yet is because it's not sailing yet. I'm sure Disney will add dream and it's Internet pricing when it gets closer to the inaugural sailing.

I'm with you Lori. I'm sure there are a zillion plans in the works already. Hopefully Lou will find some time to relax with his family on this trip too!!!!

I do wish Lou would do another LIVE broadcast soon. Even though he might not be able to do a 24 hr show I would really like to have an update after the cruise about how it was. A meet would be interesting to see from the Box. Just got my own U-Stream account and now instead of just watching I can chat with the other Box people! So if you can read this Lou, could you please do a Live session at the meet after the cruise if you have one?

Thanks for the info Shelley... the Teen Club does look great on the other ships so I know it will be twice as awesome!!! But Lori I do hope Lou does a meet after or before the cruise because my family and I would looovvveee to participate in a meet!
We are getting closer and I can't wait 'til Lou gives out more info about the special things and events that we will be doing on the ship! Only 8 months and 2 weeks! Woot!

I voted no. He's bringing his family on the cruise and they deseve an "awake" Dad.

Not to mention internet connectivity on the Disney cruise lines is horrid!

Not a 24 hour show. The expenses of that much airtime at sea would probably be absolutely staggering! But it would be nice if he could schedule an hour or two so we can go along on the cruise even if in the box.
