Flying Dutchman

I was watching a recent video from castaway cay and noticed the Dutchman from the pirates movies was not there. Does anyone know if they have taken it off of the island? or is it still there?

They have gotten rid of it and i think that i heard that it got destroyed but i could be wrong. I do know its not longer there though

We asked when we were on the WDW Radio Cruise and they said it was slowly rotting and getting destroyed by weather, so they had to remove it

Didn't sound like it from what I was told We were very disappointed as well. We got engaged on that trip and mentioned we were coming back in 2012 for our honeymoon and they never told us anything about it being back then

I'll be on a Disney cruise for my honeymoon next year too, and my fiance was looking forward to being able to see it. I hope they bring it back

We're on the Disney Dream's 5 night cruise on august 24th (we're staying at the Poly for a few night before cause we get married on the 18th). There is a smaaallll possibility we might switch to doing a 7 night on the Fantasy on the 25th, but I think we're sticking to the Dream which we got engaged on Plus we liked Castaway Cay a LOT and we get two days there on the 5 night Dream cruise

Ooh that sounds nice! We will be on 8th September 7 night cruise on the Fantasy, then 10 nights (or maybe 14...Depending on how much time I can get off work) at WDW. Either at the new Art of Animation resort ( My fiance LOVES Cars!) or at POFQ.

Oh that sounds nice! I would love to push it back, but I'm a teacher so the 24th/25th of august is the latest I can cruise to be back before school starts (can't take time off). We talked and decided that we would rather spend less time and spend the money on a Deluxe resort and the Deluxe Dining Plan when we're at WDW anyways, so that works well. My fiance likes Disney but isn't the huge fan that I am, so generally speaking hes happier (and more willing to go) on smaller trips with nicer resorts haha... and I've always wanted to stay at the Poly for my honeymoon and be able to eat wherever I want, so I'm happy too
