I am going in December and I was wondering when the room rates would be coming out.
I am getting an AP this summer and want to use my room rates. :)
Should I wait to book until the room rates come out or get my room now and then get my discount once the room rates come out.
I'm new to the AP discounts!
Also, does the campground usually have discounts? Is it considered to be one of the value resorts? I was looking at the room rates for now and the campground wasn't listed.
If you book through a travel agency that works with Disney like MEI Mousefan, you can book now without the discount and when the AP rates do come out, you will be able to use that pricing instead even though you have already made the reservation. Thats what I do quite frequently.
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are in the Moderate category, although they cost more than a typical Moderate room. Their discounts follow the Moderate schedule and Moderate discount rate.
The campsites are not categorized, but they're usually discounted at the same time all the other resorts are. Discounts vary, usually around 30%, sometimes higher for APs. I think I got around 40% off a campsite in January this year with my AP discount.
