Yup... It always makes ppl think they are getting an awesome deal...my family is doing it this year... But for what they are doing it is about $300 cheaper than what they were originally paying... Even with a forest view at WL...

That is why everyone should do the math but I'd lay odds many guests don't when booking. Often the room discounts are a better savings than free dining especially when you only have 2 people in a room or children still on the childrens dining plan. Savings blur more when you have 2 adults and 2 kids over 9 years old in a room.

We go for ten days with a family of four and it saves us a lot! However, I'm not so sure I like the new six-night stay rule. We booked two trips when the promo came out earlier this year, both on free dining, but one is only four days. I'm wondering if this is a trend we'll see continued. Already bummed about higher ticket prices, shorter EMHs, and no more drink mugs on DP...

It always has been in the past, but, according to the Disney website, it's 6-night/7-day this time around. :-/

When are they discontinuing the collectible drink mugs?
It says I get one for my trip this year (Sept 6 - 11th) in my vacation papers that arrived two days ago.

In 2013. The new dining plan for 2013 won't have them, but we didn't have them last year, either. They tacked them on this year as a bonus, so I guess I shouldn't whine, but it's been a really nice bonus to have!
