A friend recently turned me on to this site:
Paper Models
It offers free downloads of Disney paper models that you cut out and paste together. Things like Disney buildings, the 20K sub, etc. They seem very detailed and could be a lot of fun to construct. Has anyone tried these? Are they hard to put together? Any tips?
These are so fun to make - found this site a few years ago and did the Space Mountain model and couple of the other smaller projects. Some are harder than others, but the site does give an indications of which ones are best for beginners. My biggest tip would be to use an Xacto knife (or similar) rather than scissors (it's much more precise), don't go too crazy with the glue and only cut out the sections as you need to use them. I made the mistake of cutting out everything when I did my first model and then had a nightmare trying to figure out which pieces are which.
