    Vintage Disney photos

Normally I wouldn't give this liberal site the time of day. But the Huffington Post put up some vintage Disneyland/Disney World photos that were fun to review. Hey, at least they try to post a non-left leaning story every now and again. Enjoy! Vintage Disney Photos: Disney World, Disneyland Snapshots From The Past (PHOTOS)
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

Ahh, crazy Arianna. Outside of "Greetings from the Lincoln Bedroom" I have no use for her.

Some good memories in there! Disneyland was the park my Mom took me to when I was small.

Flash back to how my Mom use to dress me and my Sis up for any type of an outing or a plane ride. Just looking at those shoes reminds me of walking in parks, zoo's, ballparks etc. with patent leather shoes, dress coats and the best dresses. Thankfully my Mom wasn't into curling my hair like this Mom did to her kids.

And I really preferred the castle with the trees and sitting area before it. My kids when small ate many jars of baby food in those shaded little seating areas.

And I didn't mind the Castle Cake until it was still hanging around the following year. Some hated it, I thought it was creative, they just waited too long to move on.....
    Some people are like Slinkies.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.

Here is one from the Disney Blog.

Would not want to clean a bathroom or remake a bed in that costume, not very practical for the role.

Early rising Grand Floridian Resort guests can enjoy a cheery parade of over fifty parasol-toting housekeepers on Mondays and Fridays. The tradition began when the Resort first opened in 1988. The Housekeeping Team members gather at 8 a.m. at the marina and slowly stroll through the Victorian courtyard around the pool. What a charming way to start the day!

Amazing how a stage can really ruin a view, huh?

I thought the Remember The Magic show was fantastic when we saw that in December. With those trees still there, no castle show. It's a trade off. I miss the trees as well, but would I rather have them instead of the castle projection shows?

    No.

Yep. Went from beautiful to another concrete jungle. You can slap a stage up anywhere. The walkway off to the right was beautiful too and amazingly much cooler in that shaded area.

It's so fun to see those kinds of pictures. I've been lucky to stumble on some books printed for Disney anniversaries at yard sales. They are great reminders of attractions that have gone away but were so fun when they existed.

I've found some real great WDW coffee table books at resale shops. Not cheap, but less than they were 25 years ago.

Here is another moving into the MK photo:
