i'm going to chicago for a week next week .. my hubby got his promontion(SP) and he has to go up for training and i was thinking of going too.. anyone from around there to meet and what sorts of stuff is there to do in such a big place

You could watch Ferris Bueller to find out what to do, lol. We've only ever driven through Chicago but it's a place I'd like to explore some day. If you ever make it to Baltimore, I'd be happy to be your tour guide.

thanks!! we just got back from cincinncati yesterday.. i toured the malls and went to the the zoo up there.. he interviewd yesterday.. got the promotion and picked up his brand new company issued ford fusion (very nice i must say) and gas card(VERY VERY NICE) and we head out sat or sun.. dont know which yet?? he has to be there noon on sunday.. all i can say is thank god for Garmin!!! it was such a life saver and were taking it to chicago with us.. we bummed it from a friend.. but now i dont think i can live without it.. we must buy one!

Chicago has areally cool downtwon. On Michigan Ave in the downtown loop, there is a whole lot of shopping and restaraunts. There is also the Navy Pier, and the Aquarium on Lake Michigan which is right next to Soldier Field. There is also the Hancock Building, The Sears Tower you can see along with other things I am sure. Just a few ideas for you there.

Chicago is such a picturesque city. I would imagine it is really nice this time of year...I was there in mid-November and it was cold. But they have beautiful parks along Lakeshore. In addition to the things JQuatt21 mentioned, I advise taking a one of those guided tours of the city...it's a great way to see and learn about the city in a relatively short time.

I love Chicago, my mom works there. I live in NW Indiana. I been there a lot, but I'm terrible with streets and addresses. (Trust me.)

Make sure you bring a camera, there is sooo many cool pictures you can take!

thanks.. i need to make sure i have extra batteries.. my rechargable batteries are old and wore out.. they dont hold a charge very long

the one i visited in Cincinnati was great the lady it said lead on her name tag so i guess she is a kind of boss.. but anyways!! i wish i could tell disney about it... she got down in the floor and started playing with my daughter right in the middle of the store.. it was so sweet!!!

Also Chrissy&Tayen, try to eat at Elephant and Castle they have awesome food! I recommend the beer batter chicken stips. (At least, I think thats what its called!)

Go to Navy Pier...they have all sorts of cool stuff there.

The Children's Museum is there.

They have Fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday night.
