MouseFest Volunteers Needed

Hey everybody! MouseFest is right around the corner, and looks to be a great event again this year! But MouseFest needs your help!

One of the special things we do during the Mega Mouse Meet event each year is station representatives from participating communities outside the ballroom to greet newcomers, staff the reception table and information table, and help with traffic control. Disney Internet fans are sometimes shy and not sure about this whole "meeting face to face" thing, and having a friendly face greet them and welcome them makes a big difference!

To make this happen, MouseFest is asking for at least three volunteers from our community for one hour between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturday, Dec. 13. Volunteers will need to help out for just one hour each, which will leave them free to enjoy the event the rest of the time.

This year we have four positions that we need help filling:

• Registration Table (seated position) - these volunteers will help staff the registration table, checking in people who have registered for MouseFest, handing out name tags, etc.
• Information Table (seated position) - these volunteers will be seated at a table inside the Mega Mouse Meet, helping people find booths and answering general questions (Where is the restroom?, etc.)
• Greeters / Bag People (standing position) - these volunteers will be greeting people as they arrive and handing out the "loot" bags, pocket guides, etc.
• Runners / General Volunteers (active position)- these volunteers will be helping Sara and Lesley, our Volunteer Coordinators, with a variety of tasks - getting more loot bags as needed, going to get information, more pens, etc.

Being a volunteer is a great way to meet people and really helps folks feel involved -- volunteers are very important to the success of Mega Mouse Meet!
