Inaugural cruise (or first available sailing)
Fall 2011 (likely lowest price)
June - Aug 2011 - school break (likely highest cost)
I am planning to go.
For the box people... don't count on it. I tried to use internet on the cruise once. There was NO WAY it would support video. Horrid connections, slow... Slow... slow... and the price... WOW! Between the lack of speed and the cost it's just a nightmare. (posting this would have cost about $10 LOL)
Quick question!! I've never cruised before and I was looking on the DCL website about general pricing. I found what I would guess to be comparable pricing as far as an inside stateroom goes. I'm not looking for anything major so the Category 12 suits me just fine. I was looking at flight and it didn't list what airport you fly into for the cruise. I looked at this so I could take advantage of the complimentary transportation. I would like to see if one of the cheaper carriers here flies into the same airport, save some money. I also need to look into a passport, how much do they run? Sorry for all the questions, I'm excited and also new at the cruising thing so.....

I just faxed my form..... we will see what happens over the next 12 months. . . . . .
(just lost my job)........ ....... ....... think positive!!!
What a fantastic time it will be with the WDW Radio gang!!!
Have they announced pricing yet? Didn't see it updated on the page and the website doesn't have anything yet.
Passports cost close to $100 and last 10 years. Although technically you don't need one for a Bahamas cruise (just birth certificate and photo ID), I would recommend getting one. You'll have to have one if you ever want to fly between Canada and the US, and of course for any overseas travel.
I am seeing prices as people post what they got on another board. Someone posted getting a cat. 11 (probably 11A) deck 7 midship for the Feb. 27 cruise for $1210.34 for 2 people. That's much better than I expected.
I agree this is much better than I thought it was going to be! I am so torn about the MV and this cruise! I am on the Alaska MV and I promised hubby I would sleep in in steerage on the MV! But I cant book until Monday the 9th!
How much is the transportation cost from the airport to the cruise?
We have never cruised before. We have never really taken a vacation
away from the kids. That's been 14 years!!! This cruise lands on our 15
anniversary! I asked my husband yesterday what he thought about it.
He told me to check it out!!!
DCL charges about $170 for 2 adults! Not Sure what the add'l for the kids would be. There are other transportation companies that may be able to get you to the port even earlier if getting there early is important to you!
Roundtrip transfers are $69/pp. A less expensive option, especially for more than 2 people, is to rent a car at the airport for drop-off in Cape Canaveral (Hertz, Avis, Budget, Thrifty). Book another one-way rental for the return trip to the airport.
Hopefully not bringing any kids!!
Wow! That's a lot for transportation.
How far is it from the airport?
45 blessed minutes! Barring no traffic jams and a good driver!
