DC Metro Area Meet!

So I was thinking that maybe we could do a DC Metro Area meet. Maybe meet in either NOVA or somewhere in Southern Maryland for a meet! I'm from Baltimore so getting to DC is pretty easy for me! What does anyone else from the area think??

Sounds like fun! I'm also from the Baltimore area and would welcome a meet - perhaps at the American History Museum in DC if they still have the Disney exibit up.

A fun idea would be the ice skate rink that they put up near/in the sculpture garden in DC! I don't think that it goes up till December or so due to the temperature. I'm pretty open on dates as long as it is not a Sunday!

I just had a spectacular idea - what about we get together to celebrate Walt's birthday on Saturday December 5th?!?!?

It would be fun to get together, have birthday cake (Lou would be so proud with the focus on food ), and have a good time!

Any thoughts?

Ok....taking the reigns on this I guess....

Why don't we go for 12/5 at the little cafe that is at the sculpture garden fountain/ice rink at 11AM? The cafe is located just east of the Museum of Natural History on the other side of 9th street.

I thought that it would be neat if we all brought cup cakes decorated in our own tribute to Walt to share with each other. That way, no one has to lug a sheet cake with them and we can all celebrate and enjoy each other's inginuity and creativity!

After meeting up, and of course, chowing on some yummy cup cakes, we could then head over to the Museum of American History, if wanted, and check out the Disneyland display. The display is pretty small - just a Teacup & Dumbo ride vehicles and a small case with some memorabilia from when Disneyland opened.

That would work for me as long as the weather is good. It's probably a 7-8 hour drive for me but I'd make a weekend out of it.
