I know taht they had a Up themed meal for the 5k this year, so I'd assume they will be having one in 2011.
You will get a rubber type medal for the race. The medal seems to change every year. While it is a fun run they do state that you have to maintain a 16 min. mile but I've hear that they don't stick to it that much. Some have done it in an hour. I think their main concern is getting the participants out of the park so they can get cleaned up.
I've never done the 5k in January but I plan on doing the one this Saturday.
I did it in January and I did receive a little rubber medal for completion. They didn't seem to stick to the time per mile in this race for sure. There were so many people walking, I had to go off course a few times to get around them.
It was a lot of fun and I would recommend it. Hopefully the weather is not as cold as it was when I did it. Waiting to start just about killed me.
Yeah I don't predict an issue with the time limit per mile, I'm just not up to half marathon capabilities and my wife wouldn't willingly run that far.... ever.
Well it's official. My wife and I registered last night for the race. Who all is going to be there? Maybe Lou will come again.
