Food and Wine with Friends 2011

Just a reminder the Wine and Dine Half is that weekend too. While the 2010 race was NOT well run IMHO I am crossing my fingers that Disney gets thier act together in 2011 and will probably run again.

This is the reason some of us are traveling down that weekend. The combo of the Half, Food and Wine, 40th Anniversary and time with good friends is to much to pass up.

We are planning on coming as our long-weekend, anniversary celebration! Our dates look like they will be 9/28 - 10/2. Not 100% sure where we are staying yet, looking into renting some points for an Epcot resort.

For everyone thinking of a Epcot resort on DVC points, you should book soon.
Last year Todd and I waited till the 7 month mark and nothing was available.
Kim kept warning me to book ASAP, but we put it off. We ended up staying at OKW.

We are momentarily scheduled Sept 23rd thru October 2nd. We are using our Sheraton Vistana stay that we won at auction at the Indy meet last year (sept 23rd-29th) and then AKV value studio (29th-2nd).

For what it is worth, I called in December for BWV for a studio Oct 2-7 or something like that and have all nights covered but am waitlisted for parts for a standard view. BWV is my home resort. That said, there are more 1 BR there than studios and more studios with pool/garden view (I don't have enough points for those).

I have to get two studios for my brother and myself. I'm thinking I'm about 3 points short. I might have to rent three points, if that is possible. UGH. I'll book us at SSR, but waitlist for BWV, knowing we won't probably get it.

I'll more than likely end up at Pop for a lot of those nights - I'm hoping to talk Cheryl into coming down - she LOVED F&W and really likes meeting you guys! She spotted Jason & Shanan in a very crowded Hub after fireworks before I did in October!

This is the ONE stay I do book early. I am not on the phone at 11 months but tend to call about 10 months out and so far so good! If you have to wait until 7 months it does become iffy. (That's the main reason I won't sell those BCV points)
