Food and Wine with Friends 2011

The 5k is Saturday morning I believe someone said, so Saturday night would work. Friday night would just be asking for trouble.

But Saturday night is the half and relay.

Friday night is a bad choice as well. Drinking and running don't mix.

Andrea if we go we would go Wed night or early Thurs morning to Sunday. If you hear the JetBlue flights are announced lemme know, I will look out for them too!

I will keep an eye out and let you know. I have a feeling the prices might be higher since it is a holiday weekend. Unfortunatley, we can't really move our dates around, so we will have to pay whatever the price is. If there is a huge difference between Jetblue and Southwest, we'll go Southwest again and Vinny will have to **** it up with no TV and no can of Coke, lol..

Can people who ran the 5K go or just the 1/2? I think the party would be fun. Maybe I could be someone's date.

In 2010, they sold party tickets to guests of the runners first. You had to provide the WDW ticketing agent with the name of the runner you were accompanying.

Has anyone ever rented points before with any success?

I rented points for the Wine and Dine in 2010 from a rental site, not a known DVC member. Smooth and easy. Studio at Old Key West at a price significantly lower than a room at a host hotel. (And we got a kitchenette).

As for the after party, while at some of the events surrounding marathon weekend I spoke with various people from RunDisney. They assured me that they had received a ton of feed back (mostly not positive) about the after party and were already in the midst of fixing the kinks. Nothing specific was mentioned, just general assurances.

I think I am going to try and make it. Just depends on how my calendar works out in the fall. I am not running that is for sure. At best I could waddle.

I haven't been able to check in much as work has been unbelievably crazy the last 2 weeks. Well there is no turning back now as we have officially booked our flights!!! We found a great deal on American and decided to lock in the rate. Now to lock down accommodations. Oh, and get in shape.

That's a good idea. He just didn't want to keep asking them for more and be a pain, plus, they didn't come around again other than to clean up. I had to walk up to the front of the plane to get a cup of water from the flight attendant. It just struck me as weird - Jetblue has been different from our experience.

We're interested as well. We're planing on a 4 night - 5 day gataway with a focus on F&W.

We would especially like to take part in Lou's Walkabout. With it being so early, has Lou made any mention as to when that may be?
