Food and Wine with Friends 2011

Hard to believe it is time to start planning this weekend already but it's not that far away :grin:.

Many of us are planning to head down to WDW the first weekend of October for the Food and Wine Festival and the 40th Anniversary of the MK so I thought we would start a thread to talk about who is going, where you are staying and what events we are planning to participate in.

Us! Just need to coordinate a sitter for the kids. I have to look up the dates, but we are at BCV.

I'm flying in on 29 September to be settled in time to run the race on the 30th. Alicia is flying in the next day. We are staying until October 10th. AKV concierge!!! :yahoo:

I'm planning 9/24 - 10/4 - but no real details yet...

I'll be at SRR 9/28 - 10/2. Not sure who else will be coming with me. May be Ann. May be Karen and Lauren.

VWL right now (our home resort), but I may try to switch to AKL at 7 months because we've never stayed there. Or I might try for an Epcot resort (but know that will be tough during F&W).

If you wind up at AKL let us know, we'll give you a tour of concierge level! The lounge is sweet! :cookie:

Tamra and I are coming and running the race. We hope to stay at BWV, one we haven't tried yet.

We have now stayed at all the DVC properties in WDW and BCV is still my fav.

Couldn't agree more :) (We just have BWV and then we will have them all covered) We are considering the Treehouses in December, not sure if that counts as a separate property.

Just a reminder the Wine and Dine Half is that weekend too. While the 2010 race was NOT well run IMHO I am crossing my fingers that Disney gets thier act together in 2011 and will probably run again. (I will however, have to skip Lou's walkabout the day before. I think 8 hours wandering around the World Showcase really wiped out my legs LOL! I never realized how "tiriing" standing at the World Showcase is. The walkabout was great fun, but I paid for it the next night. In 2011 it's one or the other!)
