Calling all WDW Radio fans from the UK!!!

Hey UK peeps! It's always been my aim that after starting this thread I'd try to arrange a little gathering here in the UK, seeing as we can't attend every WDW Radio Meet of the Month like some lucky people!

As the year is getting on I'd really like to get something arranged before winter is upon us (sorry for wishing the summer away!).

If any of you would be interested in a UK meet can you let me know how far you'd be prepared to travel / preferred location for a meet (e.g North / South, London, Birmingham etc) and any dates / months that you'd prefer.

Feel free to post here or send me a PM. I'd really love to get to meet you all in person and have some Disney chat!

I assume you would be looking at a week-end so as long as Kerrie can get the Saturday off we are up for it We're in Yorkshire and don't mind traveling a bit, we are at a Disney cruise get together on Aug 19th and are away end of Oct/beginning of Nov but apart from that as long as Kerrie can get time off we're easy

Thanks for your reply Tim. Yes, I think a weekend would make it easier for most people. And I know I have to fit it in between all your trips .

Yeah, weekend for me too... London would be ideal for me, as it's fairly easy to travel to from the South Coast, although would be prepared to travel a bit further up north if necessary. Matt and I are away end of next month/beginning of September, but don't have a lot planned after than - probably October onwards would be best for us...

Hi London would be the best for us , also the weekends, although if a sat would be afternoon as work in the mornings lol, our only trip is in November to Paris

London would work for us too as it's a fairly easy journey from Somerset. November onwards would be great but as long as it's not between 26th Sept and 12th October we should be able to make it as that's when we're at WDW

Thanks for all your replies guys! I originally thought of London but didn't want to assume everyone would be happy to travel there....however at the moment it looks like the most popular choice.

October / November looks good too, just trying to avoid that winter weather (brrrr!) and Christmas crowds!!

Sounds like we'll have plenty of post-trip reports to discuss too.

Hi Everyone
My Name is Jodie and I have been a HUGE WDW Radio fan since 2008. I have been to WDW 5 times and I also got married out in Florida I am a travel agent so I am able to talk about my favourite place all day every day!
I live in lincolnshire but I can pretty much travel anywhere to be able to meet up with other disney geeks, it is about time Lou became a 'box' person. I have missed lou's meets twice, We were in WDW in March when he was there for his friends wedding, we missed him by an hour, but we didn't miss the opening of the town square theatre it was fab! During that trip we became really good friends with an amazing cast member who now keeps us informed with all the gossip.

So, I'm here emma! ... thanks again for telling me about this section of the forums!

I currently live in Lincolnshire - East midlands, I have only been to disney once so far however we have our second trip planned in Feb 2012. The last trip was 2005, such a long time ago! As I'm now at the age where I can work and travel with friends I plan to go far more often!

I would love to have a meetup with all the other UK disney fans, would be amazing to get to meet you all! The easiest place for me would be somewhere in the Midlands, however I can travel to London if needed.

Oh, by the way... for the Februrary trip we are going to Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside. Has anyone been here before, how did you find it? The last time we spent at Animal Kingdom lodge.
