    Hi Lou,
Besides my family (all 11 of us) we just heard that the 6th additional family from Cream Ridge has booked on our cruise. Sounds like like we will have a big crowd and a great cruise.

It sounds like we should change the title of this thread from "Join Lou and Tink" to "Join Howard and Company"!

I'm ready to go now. In fact, my suitcases are packed and sitting by the door.

Apparently you don't live up north. I'm packed and ready to go south from November through April every year.

    Exclamation Passports

Important info if you don't already have a passport:

WASHINGTON -- Overwhelmed by unprecedented demand, the State Department is warning would-be travelers to brace for lengthy delays in getting U.S. passports, even when they pay a hefty fee to speed their applications.

The department has hired hundreds of employees to process passport requests over the past two years as tougher immigration rules have taken effect. Even so, the department says a crush of new applicants -- more than 1 million a month -- has inundated its staff and caused delays of up to a month-and-a-half at the peak January-to-April season when many people are preparing to travel over the spring and summer.

In addition, a regulation that took effect this year requiring Americans to have passports when traveling by air to any country, including Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean "has increased passport demand and production to record levels," the department said in a statement this week.

Applications received between October and this March have risen 44 percent over the same period in 2005-2006, the department said in a notice sent Thursday to lawmakers. Some members of Congress have received complaints from constituents about delays.

According to the notice, routine passport processing could take 10 weeks instead of the previous six, and expedited processing could take four weeks instead of two weeks.

    ...
If you have an application in progress, you can check on its status by calling 877-487-2778, 7 a.m. to midnight Monday - Friday, or go to travel.state.gov

I read that too, Pat. We are going to apply for ours on April 18, the first day after tax season! That should give us plenty of time. Six whole months.

Yeah, Lou. Me too. You know I hate surprises. I need to know what shore excursions I can book and when I can dine at Palo and when I can enjoy the exotic Rasul with Mr. iwbm (okay, maybe you didn't need to know that) without missing something fun DWT has planned. I NEED to KNOW. Truly.

I have just booked our reservations at the Radisson Resort at the Port for the night before we cruise. After the cruise we will spend two nights at WDW at either the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Wilderness Lodge. Mr. iwbm hasn't made up his mind about which he would prefer. MEN!

We are coming in the day before also and staying at the hotel right at the airport. Can't wait to go.....but i don't want to rush the summer.

The Wilderness lodge would be my choice T-Nina!!!

We've never been to Cocoa Beach. Somehow all our trips to Florida seem to begin and end at MCO. Go figure. So we want to spend the day before the cruise exploring Cocoa Beach. We are going to spend the day AFTER the cruise exploring Kennedy Space Center and then head to WDW that evening and the next day.

Mr. iwbm surprised me at noon by announcing that he would like to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I was sure he would choose Wilderness Lodge. Just when you think you know somebody...........
