First timer at Mousefest

Ok, does anybody have tips for first timers going to Mousefest? I will be there on saturday (or I should! A few parents/me driving issues). I am just not sure on how things go on at Mousefest. I plan on going to the DWT Family Reunion and Mega Meet and others. But as some teens would be, I am slightly nervous.
I just want to enjoy my only day there, and want to make sure its done right. So, any advice? Anything would be helpful! Thanks!

Good news, Nick: there is no right or wrong way to 'do' Mousefest!

Take a look at the schedule of events posted on mousefest.org, decide which meets you'd like to participate in, show up at the appointed time, and have fun!

The MegaMeet is big and busy, sort of like a trade show where there are tables set up all around the room with authors and webmasters and podcasters and others, and you go from table to table collecting free handouts and autographs and whatever. They even give you a bag at the door to collect stuff in

Family Reunion is just fun - be at the Japan Torii Gate, look for all the yellow lanyards and DWT shirts, and say "hi!"

I went to a few events last year, not knowing what to expect, and I had a wonderful time meeting new people and getting know them. I highly recommend going to anyone who is still thinking about it.

Does anybody know if the Mousefest T-shirts will be available at the meet? Also, will any of the authors be bringing their books for sale and/or autographs?

Yes, the authors will be bringing books and signing autographs (at least most will be! and yes, this is a change from last year).

As for shirts, if it is something that you'd order from Cafe Press, i.e. the 'official' MouseFest logo shirts, the DWT Family Reunion shirts, etc., most likely they will not be for sale at the meet (because of the way that Cafe Press works, the shirts are printed on-demand. It is not practical or cost effective for someone to order a bunch of cafe press shirts on speculation).

But shirts like our great blue DWT shirts (which are ordered through the warehouse in Lou's basement) will be available!

I'm another first timer, so I'm glad that everyone says it is tons of fun. Last year I avoided it at all costs. I ran away from different sites because I didn't want to deal with people. But it looks like I might be able to make it, so I will be there.

However, I will not have on a shirt because well I'm a poor college student who is saving up for a house and a wedding, so no t-shirt for me!

You could always beg a family member for that extra $16 or so. Or say they can give it to you as an early wedding gift!

I am a first timer too! I cannot wait to meet everyone! I unfortunately don't have any DWT stuff BUT I will be wearing a pink princess santa hat. So we're meeting in Japan right? Mmm and at what time?

I'm asking for toasters and pots and pans, it's quiet an exciting Christmas.

I have tons of Disney stuff, so I can't justify buying a DWT trivia shirt.
