WDW Merchandise You Would Like to See?

What Disney souvenir or "The Art of Disney" style high end merchandise would you like to see (that doesn't exist) and what would you be willing to pay for it?

I would personally like to see some lower cost items at "The Art of Disney" so I could actually afford to put something nice on the walls of my house for say under $1,000!

I also noticed there were no nice 2009 photo calendars or coffee table photo books. The postcards even had dated photos.

So what do you search in Disney merchandise stores for?

Yeah, everytime I visit the Art of Disney Store store I spot something I think would be a nice conversation piece to display at home, then I wince when I see the pricetag.

I was able to purchase a set of 4 "stretching room" lithographs from the Haunted Mansion that measure approx. 12" X 32" for under $35.00. I bought some frame stock and matting and framed them myself. They turned out really nice if I do say so, but now I would like to find a set of the attraction posters like the ones displayed under the train station tunnel at MK so I can frame them and hang them on the opposite wall. I have seen these in a few of the shops in WDW, but I could not bring myself to pay the asking price.
    I did find a few on e-bay, but they were only 9-1/2" X 11".

I guess I would like to see a "budget line" of the attraction posters introduced that I could frame myself.

.........Of course if I hit the Powerball tonight, all bets are off. I'll have the topiaries, ice sculptures, ambient music system and themed pool installed. I'll be sure to post photos of all this while I burn stacks of $100 bills in my O'Hanna inspired fire pit.

Love the Art of Disney! Yes very pricey. I'm always looking for that cool, different something to buy when I'm there. Not sure what I'm looking for though.

Too bad Disney with all their millions can't manage to put up a site where those attraction posters can be purchased (a little sarcastic). I see some on eBay but people are chargin an arm and a leg for them. I was there in December and completely forgot to go to the store and look.

I'd like to see more basic stuff like they use to have, like a regular bumper sticker, not a whole package of stuff just a bumper sticker. Also they use to sell spoon rests and tea bag holders with pictures of the castle, I Mickey and the characters but I would really like to see more park related stuff (castle ect.) on Merchandise.

This really goes for WDW and DL and Disney in general.

I would like more of the stores to go back to the way they used to be. It seems most of the gift shops are the same no matter where you go. I'd like a little variety from location to location. I was hard pressed in DL in June to find a thing I wanted. And, I looked...with cash, disney dollars, and gift cards in hand. What did I buy myself. NOTHING! Oh wait, I stocked up on my disney socks supply. BTW, those white cushion ankle socks are great for work. And as far as my last WDW trip, I managed to find a watch...took forever to find one I thought was worth the price and that I enjoyed...but that's all I bought. And guess how many watches I already own and how many are Disney?

Also, I'd like more clothing geared towards adults. I have way more than my fill of t-shirts and sweatshirts. I really do not need more. I'm looking for other very subtle designs with the mouse. Thankfully, disneyshopping.com does have the option where you can design your own polo shirt. However, that is one item.

I'd like a return to quality merchandise. I ordered a small messenger bag last year, piece of pooh it was. I would not recommend it...poorly made and easily broken. I guess that is why they had it on sale.

noticing less of Tigger's stuff now

I noticed Tigger items are gear for Men and boys rather than women and girls. I only noticed that pooh is for both genders but not Tigger. It is getting very hard to see tigger stuff now. I dont really want to have Pooh on my stuff so Tigger can be on it cuz Pooh and Tigger are best buddies but I dont really like pooh anyway for some apparently reasons.

I always have been big fan of Tigger when i was teen girl. Plus in the past, there were plenty of tigger things gear for women. It is getting really less by every year now. Even, I regretted that i didnt buy Tigger's ears from disney world store for my personal use. I went back recent jan trip and didnt find it and now i only have the sweater with zipper from disney. I really really want more tigger on things like dishwares or even stuff
similiar to Mickey mouse kitchenware. That would be so cool!!!

Amazon.com has a few- saw a pretty neat Lightning McQueen candle there.

Has anyone seen a selection of Disney paint colors for the home? I've done my best to match up a few, but I think it would be neat to find a brochure at one of the paint or hardware stores with the Disney color pallate.

I would also like to find some Haunted Mansion light fixtures to go with my stretching room portraits.

Re: WDW Merchandise You Would Like to See?

I'd like to see some past-attraction merchandise...an old-epcot snowglobe? ($75) A horizons building? awesome! ($100) some nice representations of rides too! It's a small world diarama, spaceship earth w/ a removeable top and working display inside, and a Matterhorn one too! that'd be pretty cool.

I need to see more pirates clothing. It is hard to find good looking pirate shirts so I have been designing my sons shirts on the disneyshopping website. I would also like to see a better variety of costumes that arent cheesy or cheap looking.

I've seen the Mickey head shaped candles. But I've never seen tapered candles.

Re: WDW Merchandise You Would Like to See?

i'd just like bigger sizes in some things..or at least more consistant sizing. i got a a woman's tshirt at epcot (with figment ) in 2007 and its comfortably loose on me. in 2008 i got a haunted mansion tshirt that i can only wear under a cardigan so just the top part shows because its super tight on the bottom.

i'd also love to see more vintage style things, the old logos and old rides on some things. i'd love to have a 20,000 leagues shirt!

Re: WDW Merchandise You Would Like to See?

Im with you LockShockBarrel. I love the old logo items. MK and Epcot had the best logos in the 80's. I also agree on the sizing of things. I bought a XL shirt and it was way to big but the next trip i got a L and now its an under shirt. We will see what we find when we go on a week.
