    The Walt Disney Co. has entered a comprehensive multi-year distribution agreement with Time Warner Cable that will extend retransmission consent for ABC-owned broadcast television stations and provide for carriage of other Disney networks and services, the companies said Wednesday.

    Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    Walt Disney Co. will let Time Warner Cable Inc. offer Disney channels such as ESPN and ABC Family in high definition as part of a broader agreement that helps Time Warner generate more revenue.

    Disney, the world's second-largest media company, will let Time Warner Cable add shows to its on-demand and digital recording services. Financial terms weren't disclosed, the companies said Wednesday.
